Life-simulation video game series "The Sims 4" never runs out of exciting updates in the form of add-ons and game packs. Gamers can now play with their new add-on pack that has a laundry theme.

The new add-on called Laundry Day Stuff was recently released by Electronic Arts and Maxis. The additional content was created "in collaboration with players and fans through a series of online votes." That is why it is considered a fan-created add-on.

According to reports, it took six rounds of voting and a total of 768,000 votes from Sims players to collectively decide on the add-on. The response of the players shows that they would like their Sims to have to wash their clothes.

The "Sims 4" Laundry Day Stuff lets players install washing machines and dryers. Players also have the option to use an old-school washtub to manually scrub out stains. Those who prefer doing chores outside can even use a washtub in the garden, and then hang dry on the clothesline.

It also features some non-laundry stuff like country-inspired decors that inlcude wood and wicker furniture, colorful rugs, and floral-filled baskets. There are also country-themed attires that are adorned with floral patterns and laid-back denim items. The getup also comes with a hassle-free hairstyle to complement the relaxed look.

For those who are wondering how to use the Laundry Day Stuff pack, it is just simple. Every time a Sim undresses, their dirty clothes will pile up into their hamper. Once the clothes are already in the hamper, the player can click on it and select "Do Laundry." After that, the player can choose whether to let their Sim use a washing machine or a wash tub.

If the player chooses the washing machine, one needs to click "Add to Washing Machine" in order to move the laundry. To start the load, hit "Wash Laundry," which will last for about an hour. Once done, the player will hear a beep.

The player can now hit "Unload and Move Laundry To" then transfer it to the dryer by hitting "Add to Dryer." To start the dryer, simply click the dryer. Once the clothes are taken out of the dryer, these will automatically fold themselves, and the Sim needs to keep them in their drawers or dressers. It is important that the clothes are taken out from the dyer on time to make sure that they are no longer damp.

"The Sims 4" Laundry Day Stuff is now available on Mac and Windows PC.
