The sneak peek trailer to Netflix's upcoming supernatural series "The Innocents" has now dropped, giving loyal users of the streaming service another original content to look forward to this 2018.

As part of Netflix's goal of populating its streaming service with numerous original content, it dropped a short preview of what is to come for its latest series offering in the supernatural, romance-driven genre -- "The Innocents."

In the trailer, it is evident that a theme of otherworldliness will be a primary aspect of the new series. It features several quick footages of the cast that entirely comprises newcomers except, of course, for actor Guy Pearce -- who will play as Halvorson in the story.

According to Variety, the new series will be top-billed by neophytes Sorcha Groundsell and Percelle Ascott. The two will be playing lovestruck teenagers Harry and June -- on the run from their tyrannical families. And through their journey, they will come across a dilemma that will ultimately derail their innocent dream.

The series is written by Hania Elkington, known for her work in the "The North London Book of the Dead," and Simon Duric -- whose works include other popular streaming series "The Crown" and "Black Mirror."

The British series will be produced by UK-based company New Pictures and will be executive produced by Charlie Patterson, Willow Grylls, Elaine Pyke, and Farren Blackburn of "Doctor Who."

Blackburn will also serve as a director for the streaming series in tandem with Jamie Donahue. Shooting for the soon-to-be released show will take place in the U.K. and Norway, respectively.

Netflix still has not announced an official release date for the new streaming show, but it is slated for a release sometime this 2018.
