'The Hobbit 3' new trailer released: 'Lord of The Rings' footage included in upcoming film?

Everyone has been waiting for a while now and the wait has finally come to an end. The first official trailer of "The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies" is out.

The official twitter account of "The Hobbit 3" tweeted the good news themselves, uploading the 1 minute and 57 second video with the caption: "It's finally here. Watch the exclusive new teaser trailer for #TheHobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies!"

You can see all the major cast in different battle sequences, including Evageline Lilly, Orlando Bloom, Cate Blanchett, Ian McKellen, Luke Evans and Martin Freeman. All the actors were present at the San Diego Comic-Con except for McKellen and Freeman. Benedict Cumberbatch, Lee Pace, Andy Serkis and Elijah Wood were also in attendance. Stephen Colbert, with the complete Hobbit costume, led the panel.

"The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" will be the last installment for "The Hobbit" movies directed by Peter Jackson, which is based on the books written by J.R.R. Tolkien. And just like how "Lord of The Rings" ended, everyone knows this will be another epic movie too.

Speaking of "LOTR," director Jackson made a very special revelation during the panel. He said that never seen before footage of "LOTR" might make it to "The Hobbit 3."

"There are a few scenes that haven't been seen from Lord Of The Rings, but not many. We might try to put them back in," says Jackson. "It's a big logistical thing which hasn't wrapped our heads around. But if there's enough interest..." Seeing that this might be the last movie about the Middle Earth saga we've all come to love, it's an awesome way to bow out.

It won't be such a long wait now. "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" will hit theaters on 3-D and IMAX on December 17. Just in time to add joy in the holidays.
