The upcoming episode of "The Good Wife" season 7 titled "Discovery" will see Alicia's love life in treading water. Her blossoming romance with Jason will have to be suspended in the entire duration of her estranged Peter's campaign for presidency.

The fledgling relationship alone can cost Peter the post and will render useless all the effort he and his team have done for him to win, so Eli and Ruth encourage Alicia to play her part in this one big act in a bid to make her marriage with Peter look like it is going smooth.

This should make the candidate look good in the public's eye. If the workmates continue their love affair while Peter attempts to make America fall in love with him, his wife seeing another man isn't probably the best publicity to go for.

This will be Alicia's source of struggle in the next "The Good Wife" season 7 episode. Jason, on the other hand, will also find it hard to come to terms with that. In an interview with TV Guide, Jeffrey Dean Morgan aka Jason admitted that he has no idea what the future holds for his character and Alicia.

He, however, believes that judging by Jason's personality, he will fight for what he thinks is right and what he is passionate about. "I do think he's a stand-up guy. If he's having these strong feelings toward her and her toward him, I think he'll find a way to cross that line with Alicia," the actor said.

Meanwhile, apart from the matters of the heart, Alicia will be dealing with a case with Lucca involving cultural discrimination in the upcoming installment of "The Good Wife" season 7. What's interesting is that the case sends them helping out an unlikely someone – Louis Canning.

"The Good Wife" season 7 episode 9 "Discovery" airs Nov. 29 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
