In the next episode of "The Good Place," Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell) and the gang attempt to regroup after almost getting transported to "The Bad Place."

The synopsis and promotional photos for the upcoming installment, which is titled "Best Self," were just recently released, and they show Eleanor, Chidi (William Jackson Harper), Tahani (Jameela Jamil), Jason (Manny Jacinto), and Janet (D'Arcy Carden) rejoicing at the train station.

That was where they were supposed to get picked up and shipped to a supposed "hell" to suffer for the rest of eternity. They appear to be all smiles and look in the distance as the locomotives journey to the "Bad Place" without them. Now, however, they have to figure out what they are going to do in the town.

It seems that Michael (Ted Danson) has a new design for the town wherein the remaining inhabitants can do their time without any form of torment. However, knowing how mischievous Michael is, the design might include some programs to annoy Eleanor and the gang. It remains to be seen what Michael has in store for them and if they will decide to go along with it. In the meantime, Eleanor thinks of an idea that motivates the others to lay their feelings on the line.

In the last episode, Michael got promoted by Shawn (Marc Evan Jackson) because he did an outstanding job in the town. He was instructed to transport the people to hell but allowed his friends to stay behind by giving them clues. This allowed Eleanor and the rest to avoid detection and hide under the trains. When Shawn and his minions were gone, they thanked Michael for helping them.

"The Good Place" season 2 episode 10 will hit the airwaves on Thursday, Jan 11, at 8:30 p.m. EST on NBC.
