New Fox family adventure series "The Gifted" just had its midseason finale, and fans want to see more of the show. This early, there are already spoilers for the return of the series.

"The Gifted" episode 11 will be back on the small screens next month featuring more exciting scenes, especially that the series is nearing its end. A preview clip of the show features Eclipse (Sean Teale) talking about how he and the other Mutant Underground leaders were chosen by the X-Men. He also mentions that a war is coming. Prior to the show, actress Emma Dumont, who portrays the role of Polaris, already hinted that the series has a connection to X-Men.

The season 1 of "The Gifted" has a total of 13 episodes. With episode 10 done, there are only three episodes left for January. The finale of the series, which is set on Jan. 15, 2018, will be a two-hour special. In an interview with Bustle, Dumont said that the series will address the missing X-men, Magento, the father of Polaris. It will also reveal how the Mutant Underground began.

Dumont added that the second half of the season will deal with Polaris and her family lineage. Meanwhile, the finale will see the origins of the Mutant Underground. Although Magneto is mentioned, he will not make a physical appearance on the show. However, his presence will be felt mentally by Polaris.

"Polaris thinks there are two paths: What she believes and what she wants, what her personal beliefs are and what she thinks is right, and then the other path is what she was born to do, which is be Magneto's daughter, which is to take over his legacy," Dumont said about her character in an interview with ComicBook.

Since Polaris did not know Magneto, it is possible that she was aided by the X-Men. The season 1 finale might feature how the X-Men gave Polaris the responsibility to save as many mutants as she could using the Mutant Underground organization.

"The Gifted" episode 11 titled "quick fiX" will air on Jan. 1, 2018 on Fox.
