"The Dawning" event for "Destiny 2" is almost here. The holiday-themed event will be live on Tuesday, Dec. 19.
As announced by Bungie on Dec. 14, "The Dawning" holiday event for "Destiny 2" will be coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on Tuesday, Dec. 19. Polygon reports that the limited-time event will be bringing new fun activities, as well as Dawning-themed gears.
Social spaces in "Destiny 2" will be filled with festive decorations brought by "The Dawning" update, and these are expected to liven up and set players' moods for the Christmas season. The areas of the Farm and the Tower will be filled with snow, which will allow players to engage in the classic snowball fights.
"The Dawning" event in "Destiny 2" will also let players engage in a little hockey game. A hockey rink will be found inside the game, as well as an oversized hockey puck.
Aside from all these fun, Christmas-themed events, "The Dawning" event in "Destiny 2" will also bring in new seasonal gear. According to the official notes released by Bungie, players may get seasonal gear as rewards when engaging in "Crucible Mayhem." "The Dawning" seasonal gear will also be rewarded to players who will become legends in strikes. Bungie also advises players to complete a milestone every week to be rewarded a "Dawning Engram."
Players are also encouraged by Bungie to share in the spirit of giving in the game. "The Dawning" event will have consumables that will reward the player and his team. The vendor "Tess" will also refresh her inventory every week for three weeks for players who have been reserving their "Bright Dust" for a specific item. "The Dawning" event will bring Dawning-themed exotic emote, sparrow, ghost, as well as Dawning-themed legendary armor pieces on Tess's shelves.
"The Dawning" holiday event on "Destiny 2" starts on Tuesday, Dec. 19 until Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018.
