In the "The Bachelor" season 22, 29 women will try to win the new bachelor's, Arie Luyendyk Jr., heart. However, it looks like not every fan of the ABC reality series is fond of the 36-year-old auto racing driver's return.

In September, ABC announced the coming of Luyendyk as the show's new suitor. With that, fans recalled the moment he was called the "Kissing Bandit" in "The Bachelorette" season 8 in 2012, when Emily Maynard broke his heart.

"After my experience on 'The Bachelorette' I feel I'm in a place where I know myself better," the two-time Indianapolis 500 winner said in the preview of "The Bachelor" season 22. Although his first appearance in the spin-off series was said to be his "biggest heartbreak," it also proved that he could "deeply fall in love." "I need my own love story," he added.

Upon his return, fans are divided if he will be a great asset in the dating reality series or a total failure. In fact, some people believe that his reappearance after five years is actually "irrelevant." One fan said that his return is "interesting," while others believe that he is not their "cup of tea." Also, he is not the one they are expecting to join the show's new season.

Although this is the case, Luyendyk remains positive as the female contenders will know the real him in "The Bachelor" season 22. Just like these women, who are taking their chances to find love, he is also hoping to find someone for him.

Luyendyk went on to say that he knows he can fall in love in a deeper way. He wants a wife, kids, and to experience having a family of his own. Thus, he is trying his luck in this dating game.

"The Bachelor" season 22 will be airing on Monday, Jan. 1, 2018, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
