Someone will be in need of guidance and Noah (Dominic West) may be the one to give it to them. Spoilers for the upcoming season of "The Affair" tease that a new face may be joining the fold concerning Noah.

As revealed by Deadline, "The Fosters" star Christopher Meyer will be joining the cast in time for its fourth season. Meyer will be playing Anton Gatewood, one of Noah's high school students. Despite being a brilliant kid, he is also a very troubled teenager. Anton finds difficulty in trying to handle the expectations his parents have of him, and he is also trying to find his purpose in the midst of doubt and self-destructive moments.

Noah and Anton will likely spend a lot of time together, during which Noah will end up being the one who will guide Anton down the right path. Helping Anton fight his inner demons may prove to be a chance for Noah to redeem himself after all the things he has done in his life. There is a lot of speculation that Noah's storyline for the upcoming season is going to be another emotional roller coaster.

The previous season saw him returning to the U.S. without his French girlfriend, Juliette (Irene Jacob). There have been hints that suggested that the couple broke up despite things seemingly going well while they went on their vacation. Even though he has made amends with his daughter Whitney (Julia Goldani Telles), the situation remains uncertain with Helen (Maura Tierney). Noah is unable to decide if he wants her back in his life or not.

On the other hand, Helen seems to be happily in love with Vic (Omar Metwally). The two of them have decided to get back together after Helen realized that it was pointless to go after a man who does not want her in return.

As for Alison (Ruth Wilson), she has conflicts of a different sort in the upcoming season of "The Affair." Despite her efforts in putting her family back together, her old ways will once again settle in, which might lead her to forget her goal. It has already been hinted that she will meet a new man and start a new romance with him.

However, the previous season saw her trying to convince Cole (Joshua Jackson) to come back to her. Alison also did everything she could to convince the court that she is capable of raising her daughter Joanie. Unfortunately, those efforts may end up in vain when she meets a Marine veteran named Ben (Ramon Rodriguez).

Ben and Alison will meet each other while she starts her new job as a grief counselor. Ben will try and do what it takes to charm his way into Alison's heart and get her to fall in love with him. There is a chance that this will lead to Cole getting his heart broken again should Alison start things with Ben.

"The Affair" season 4 is expected to premiere in 2018 on Showtime.
