Fans of the "Street Fighter" games are now waiting for the release of "Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition." The upcoming installment of the game will be hitting shelves in 2018, along with some new features that could hopefully please both new fans and seasoned players alike.

Capcom recently announced that there will be an arcade version of "Street Fighter 5" with two more modes added to the game: Extra Battle Mode and Arcade Mode. The V-Trigger feature will also be included in the game. Capcom also said that there will be a bigger gallery of illustrations and a new user interface.

The Arcade Mode will have players revisiting the history of the game series with the six different paths and competing in matches based on the previous "Street Fighter" games against CPU opponents to reveal unique endings that are based on a player's performance. The Extra Battle Mode will feature a new series of time exclusive challenges for players to use their Fight Money for a chance to get their hands on some premium costume which is exclusive to this mode. Players who complete all four challenges every month in the Extra Battle Mode will also receive a premium costume.

Aside from the two modes, "Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition" will also include the base game as well as the downloadable content (DLC) from the first two seasons. Those who already own "Street Fighter 5" will get a chance to get their hands on the game's new features via a free update.

Upon the announcement of the game, some fans were initially pleased at the sort of do-over that the game is getting, especially now that they will get an actual Arcade Mode compared to what they got in the current game. Some, on the other hand, did not think it was a good idea. Nevertheless, they hoped that Ken would look a lot better in "Arcade Edition."

"Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition" will come out in Jan 16, 2018 for the PlayStation 4 and PC.
