The third and final PS4 and PC beta for upcoming fighting game "Street Fighter 5" is now ongoing and is set to conclude tomorrow. Included in the beta schedule are two 10-hour downtimes developer Capcom allotted for maintenance, as usual.

Today, the second maintenance is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. PST. The beta will go live once again on Dec. 20 at 4 a.m. PST and wraps up by 10 p.m. PST. The characters playable in the beta will be Ryu, Birdie, Cammy, Necalli, Nash and Laura.

After the first maintenance of the "Street Fighter 5" beta, Zangief was made available to participants. It is expected that when the beta resumes after its scheduled downtime today, players will get to fight in the battlefield as Dhalsim.

Capcom also teases that during the course of the beta testing, "there might be a few more character surprises along the way." It did not give a clue as to which characters will be popping out in the game but this certainly builds up the excitement of the participants even further.

Meanwhile, here are the modes gamers can expect in the "Street Fighter 5" beta.

  • Ranked Match

  • Casual Match

In related news, the game studio also announced that "Street Fighter 5" will be made compatible with the Steam Controller and Steam OS, both of which are Valve's creations. Capcom is working closely with the company to perfect this project.

During the third beta for the latest iteration of the long-running fighting game, players can try out the Steam Controller. There's no detail available regarding the Steam OS though but Capcom promises to keep fans up to speed.
