'Stranger Things: The VR Experience' now out for the PSVR; Explore the Byers' residence and the 'upside down'

"Stranger Things: The VR Experience" is out now on the PlayStation Store. Fans of the original Netflix series can now experience what it feels to see a demogorgon up close.

"Stranger Things: The VR Experience" was made available on the PlayStation Store on Tuesday, Dec. 12. VG247 reports that fans of the original Netflix series can now experience the hair-raising moments of meeting a demogorgon face to face via the PlayStation VR (PSVR).

In "Stranger Things: The VR Experience," players can experience walking around the Byers' residence. Players can even walk up to the iconic alphabet scribbling and Christmas lights on the wall where Will communicated with his mom, Joyce, when he was in the "upside down."

Gamespace also reports that players can enter various rooms in the Byers' house, including Joyce and Will's rooms, the kitchen, and the living room. In addition, brave souls can go even further and have their own adventures in the "upside down." To keep the atmosphere accurate, players will also be able to experience the creepy ambient sounds of the game, as well as the distinctive phone ringtone of the 80s.

PSVR owner can get the "Stranger Things: The VR Experience" for free at the PlayStation Store. Players are advised to allocate at least 3.5 GB of storage for the game. Also, gamers should take note that the VR game requires PSVR, as well as a PlayStation Camera for the game to work properly. However, users who don't have the console and accessories may experience two minutes of the game via the 360-degree video below.

Elsewhere, the second season of "Stranger Things" started streaming on Netflix on Oct. 27. The story focused on Will's vision of the "upside down" and how the events of "Stranger Things" season one affected his daily life.

"Stranger Things" season two also introduced a bunch of new characters like Eleven's lost sister, Kali, who has the power to induce mental hallucinations. Viewers also met Max, a new member of Will and company's party, and Billy, Max's step-brother who wants to dethrone Steve as the coolest guy in Hawkins Highs.

The second season of "Stranger Things" is now streaming on Netflix.
