A lot of fans who were enjoying the set of new episodes for the highly popular animated television series "Steven Universe" were a bit concerned when the show suddenly decided to go a hiatus after airing the seventh episode of its fourth season. After the episode was aired, there was, unfortunately, no official announcements regarding the show's return, which further concerned fans about the show's status.

Now, fans may have a new reason to get their hopes up as the show's creator had confirmed her attendance at the upcoming New York Comic Con (NYCC) event happening this week.

While Rebecca Sugar hadn't specifically mentioned what she would be doing at the event, there are reports that have speculated that she will likely be announcing an update regarding the status of the show and its possible return date. The event itself will be taking place this week from Oct. 6 to Oct. 9 which will be held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

The last episode in the popular series — titled "Onion Gang" — aired last Sept. 15. After it aired, websites like Zap2It no longer listed any schedules for the show's new episodes.

Several reports have, however, uncovered the tentative title for the next episode — episode 8 titled "Gem Harvest" — and have predicted its release to be sometime in November. Some reports have even claimed that the new episode might be airing on Thanksgiving Day itself simply based on the title and its possible theme.

Other reports have theorized that the episode could be featuring a Thanksgiving celebration that will involve the people in Crystal Gems and in Beach City. The claim, however, is simply just a theory at this point, which means that the episode itself could feature an entirely different set of events.

As of the moment, fans are left with no choice but to wait for an official announcement of when the show would be back on air. That announcement may be coming sooner rather than later at the upcoming NYCC event this week.
