While the hype is slowly building around the upcoming brand new triple A video game titles coming out in the next few months, Ubisoft has now discreetly been beta testing its brand new open-world extreme sports video game, "Steep."
The game has been in development since 2013, but is seems like Ubisoft may be on the brink of finally completing the long planned new sports video game.
The upcoming new game is one of the company's low-key titles that is set to be coming out in this winter, just in time to coincide with its overall winter-theme. Despite "Steep's" development having been under the radar for the past few years, some fans have taken notice and are actually looking forward to finally getting their hands on the sports game.
One of the main features that is unique to the upcoming game is its emphasis on being an online multiplayer game. "Steep" is a game that allows player to share their progress and scores with friends in order to compete with them in various challenges, winter sports events, and other contests.
Reports have also now revealed that Ubisoft has actually started to roll out the beta testing for the game and that it would be coming out in two waves. The first beta test for "Steep" was started a few days ago and had somewhat a limited opening for those who were interested to try out the game.
The second beta test registration is happening in a few days on Monday, Nov. 14, and will be more open to interested players.
Those who are interested in participating can visit the company's website to take part in the open beta. The beta itself will be running from Nov. 18 to Nov. 21. Players are adviced to allocate 16GB of storage space on their gaming systems for the beta test. Ubisoft had also revealed that interested players are not required to pre-order the game in order to participate in the beta.
"Steep" is scheduled to be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and for Microsoft Windows on Dec. 2 this year.
