'StarBlood Arena' free for PSVR with PS Plus membership from Jan. 2 to Mar. 6

Sony's PS Plus free lineup of games will be including the PlayStation VR (PSVR) game "StarBlood Arena."

"StarBlood Arena" for the PSVR will be free for PS Plus members starting in January. The game serves as a bonus for members who have subscribed to the PlayStation membership.

"StarBlood Arena" is a battle arena shooter developed by WhiteMoon Dreams and Sony's San Diego Studio. Players are challenged as they move, evade, and attack at the same time in all directions to defeat pilots controlled by the computer or by their friends via the game's multiplayer feature, which allows up to 8 players.

"StarBlood Arena" also lets players use one of nine major ships in the game with the option of choosing their unique pilot, as well as their own weapons loadout. Furthermore, "StarBlood Arena" offers Invaders co-op mode, single player Carnage deathmatches, and Team Carnage deathmatches, which unlock new ships, weapons, and ship auxiliary modifications.

According to Road to VR, "StarBlood Arena" will be available for free for PS Plus members starting Jan. 2 until March 6. The game currently retails for $20 at the PSN Store.

Sony's PS Plus free lineup of games also include a number of other titles, including "Batman: The Telltale Series" and the highlight, "Deus Ex: Human Revolution."

Made by Telltale Games, "Batman: The Telltale Series" let's player choose Bruce Wayne/Batman's actions and decisions in the game, which will directly reflect the outcome of the game. "Batman: The Telltale Series" will be available for free starting Jan. 2.

"Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" is a direct sequel to "Deus Ex: Human Revolution" released in 2011. Players take control of the heavily augmented Adam Jensen (game's protagonist) as he hunts a similarly augmented terrorist group of humans which seeks to destabilize an already unstable world. "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" will also be made free for PS Plus members starting Jan. 2.
