Another deal has been added by Sony as the Christmas season draws closer. The 1-terabyte (TB) PlayStation 4 (PS4) Slim model is currently on sale. The deal started on Sunday, Dec. 17.
The 1 TB PlayStation4 Slim model is currently on sale for $249.99. Consumers who are planning on buying the said PS4 system will be able to save $50 off the original retail price of $299.99. According to the PlayStation blog, the sale started on Sunday, Dec. 17, and it will last through Christmas Eve, so interested buyers should think about buying the console now.
For the PSVR, on the other hand, Sony takes $100 off from original retail prices of PSVR units bundled with games. This means that the "Gran Turismo Sport" bundle is now at $200 from the original $300 retail price. On the other hand, the "Doom VFR" bundle for the PSVR now retails for $300 instead of the original $400 retail price. For the "Skyrim VR," which comes with two PlayStation Move controllers and a PlayStation Camera, consumers will now have to pay only $350 compared to the original retail price of $450.
In addition to these discounts, this holiday season would be a great time to grab the PSVR as more games will be coming for the VR unit in 2018. One game announced during the PlayStation Experience was the "Firewall Zero Hour" game, which is similar to Ubisoft's "Rainbow Six Seige". These holiday discount for the PSVR bundles will also last until Christmas Eve.
As previously reported, Sony kicked off their annual holiday sale on Sunday, Dec. 10 and gave discounts for their PS4 Pro units until Saturday, Dec. 16. All PS4 Pro models were available for purchase for $50 off. The 1 TB PS4 Pro unbundled unit retailed for $350. The console originally retailed for $400. For 1 TB PS4 Pro models bundled with games, a unit retailed for $400 from the original retail price of $450. "Star Wars Battlefront II" and "Destiny 2" were bundled for the PS4 Pro. The discount for the Ps4 Pro ended on Saturday, Dec. 16.
