Snapchat update: New and improved Dynamic Friends Page, Animated Filters added

On Wednesday, Nov. 29, Snapchat revealed a statement about its new and improved image messaging and multimedia mobile application. Everyone is now excited about the animated filters (including holiday-inspired themes) that were revealed last Friday, Dec.1.

Users can now add movements to their snaps, thanks to these new animated filters. Their Snapchat stories are now more colorful with sparkles and flashes, as well as bloom with some changing colors.

Just like before, it remains easy to use by just swiping to the right or left once the user is done taking their photo or video. They then can pick any animated filter they like, and make the snap look festive and fun. For other additions to the Snapchat update, they can check the Creative Tools.

Additionally, the Snapchat update will make browsing experience more worthwhile as they will be seeing more content from their friends, more than the people and pages they do not really like. Although the app is now redesigned, it will still be user-friendly with easy navigations.

Snapchat's Dynamic Friends Page can be easily accessed to the left of the camera. This includes the favorite chats and stories, properly organized to make talking to friends much easier. With the new and improved Best Friends algorithm, users do not have to search for the people they regularly talk to as it will automatically show their names.

On the other hand, by swiping to the right, Discover will be found with feature content from the professionals and publishers' pages. In a press release on Snapchat's website, the Snapchat update is said to be specially designed to separate friends and professionals' posts.

In Snapchat Inc. CEO Evan Spiegel's announcement video, he said that they are "separating social and media" in the app. This way, they could avoid the prevalence of fake news. This, too, could be the best way to let users communicate with their friends and see some "great content."
