'Scorpion' season 3 spoilers, release date: No time for romance as hackers target military

A still from "Scorpion" season 3 CBS

With the kind of baddies and troubles coming to "Scorpion" season 3, there will be no time for romance for Team Scorpion. This is what CBS emphasized in its latest tease for the return of the beloved hacking team.

In the new season, "anonymous hackers with unknown motives take control of targeted U.S. military aircraft and war ships and point America's weaponry at its own cities."

Because of the pressing new threat in "Scorpion" season 3, the team will be forced to "put aside their personal and romantic troubles" and focus on the matter at hand.

That being said, it looks like the new season will be action-packed as everyone's attention is on the mission. However, it does not mean that romance will be nil.

In fact, "Scorpion" season 3 will also be big on the love department as the relationships of the characters will be delved further into.

During the San Diego Comic Con, it was revealed that "Scorpion" season 3 will quickly follow up on Walter's (Elyes Gabel) bid to win Paige's (Katharine McPhee) heart.

The premiere will start with their meeting as the former followed the latter to Lake Tahoe and if Paige will go through with her wedding with Tim (Scott Porter).

"So we're gonna see what happens when Walter goes up to Tahoe. We're going to actually be taking characters in different directions as opposed to love interests," show creator Nick Santora teased to TV Line.

While there's still a chance for Paige and Walter, Toby (Eddie Kaye Thomas), who was actually the one who advised Walter to get the girl, is losing hope after learning that Happy (Jadyn Wong) is married.

He learned the heartbreaking secret after popping the question to her. "Scorpion" season 3 will catch up on those two as well.

"Scorpion" season 3 premieres Monday, Oct. 3 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
