Since Samsung has unveiled their latest smartwatch device — the Samsung Gear S3 — back in late-August at the 2016 IFA trade show in Germany, tech fans have been waiting for an official release date from the company in order for them to know when they will finally be able to get their hands on the device.

Now, Samsung has recently made an announcement that somewhat narrows down the release window for the device to be sometime in mid-November.

Given the recent downturn in the company's reputation due to the exploding batteries of the Galaxy Note 7, the launch of the new smartwatch is expected to help in its recovery. The new smartwatch showcases a myriad of new features that make it a cut above the rest of the products that are currently available in the market today.

Samsung officially released an announcement revealing their release plans for the new smartwatch.

"We decided to market the Gear S3 midway through November at the latest in Korea and some other countries. In China, the timepiece will be launched later," a Samsung official was quoted by a Korean news publication.

Some retail sites in Canada have apparently already posted the device for pre-order with a shipping date of Nov. 18. The date does coincide with Samsung's mid-November announcement, which means that users in North America should be getting their hands on the device around that date as well.

The new Samsung Gear S3 will be coming in two distinct models, namely the Gear S3 Frontier and the Gear S3 Classic. Both variants will be coming with 3.3-centimeter circular display as well as built in sensors and connectivity options.

Samsung had not yet announced the official prices for the device, but they did mention that they would announce it after they come up with a fixed release date. Some reports, however, have pinpointed the price to be around $350 to $360.
