In the next episode of "Runaways," Chase (Gregg Sulkin) and the rest of the gang face off with their parents to save Los Angeles.

The synopsis and promotional photos for the upcoming installment, which is titled "Hostile," were released just recently, and they show the kids standing ready to face off with their nefarious parents. They were about to destroy the giant drill that was going to burrow down further into the ground, but they were stopped by their folks.

Apparently, the foundation is too unstable, so drilling will cause earthquakes in Los Angeles. The parents, who are also known as the Pride, want to destroy the area for their own agenda. Karolina Dean (Virginia Gardner) steps out in front and is about to use her light beams to blast the elders. However, Jonah (Julian McMahon) suddenly shows up and is about to use his own light powers against the kids.

Chase then readies his Fistigons and aims them at the villains. Molly (Allegra Acosta) is prepared to use her superhuman strength to counter anything they do. Nico Minoru's (Lyrica Okana) mom has the Staff of One and can use spells against the kids. Alex Wilder's (Rhenzy Feliz) dad is armed with a gun and can be a serious threat. It appears that everything is hanging in the balance. It remains to be seen what will happen during their confrontation and who will emerge victorious.

In the last episode, the kids found out about their parents' wicked plans and decided to put a stop to them. They went to the construction area, where they noticed that the hole was already partially drilled. Molly pushed a cement truck into the hole to block the giant drill while the others destroyed the control panel.

"Runaways" season 1 episode 10 will be streamed on Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 12 a.m. EST on Hulu.
