The second season of "Riverdale" is currently underway, with the upcoming seventh episode to be shown on Nov. 29. Although the Jason Blossom mystery is over, the cast and the whole town of Riverdale is still on edge following a new vigilante killer in town named the Black Hood.
"Riverdale remains on edge after a chilling letter from the Black Hood challenges the town's residents to remain sinless for 48 hours – or he'll strike again," read the official synopsis of episode 7. Meanwhile, Jughead (Cole Sprouse) and Archie's (KJ Apa) friendship gets tested after Penny Peabody (guest star Brit Morgan) unexpectedly calls in a favor that Jughead owes her.
"Elsewhere, Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Veronica (Camila Mendes) team up to investigate someone who Betty thinks could be the Black Hood killer. Finally, things take an unexpected turn for Josie (Ashleigh Murray) when a secret admirer takes things one step too far. Madelaine Petsch and Casey Cott also star."
The Black Hood's identity has been the main highlight of the second season lately, but it looks like the person behind the mask will be revealed sooner than fans expected. Glamour recently got a chance to interview Apa and Petsch, and although they did not exactly say when, they teased the character's revelation to be quite shocking for fans.
"I already knew. I guessed it. But everything is very...it's hard to say," said Apa. "I didn't guess it. When I read it, it shocked me, but you won't have to wait much longer. A couple more episodes and the mystery will be revealed," added Petsch.
Aside from the Black Hood's identity mystery, fans should also watch out for Cheryl Blossom's (Petsch) new love interest, which would make an appearance in the upcoming episodes of the series. Fred Andrews (Luke Perry) is also teased to be a cause of worry for the fans in the next few weeks, while his son, Archie, lets nothing distract him on hunting the Black Hood.
"Riverdale" season 2 episode 7 titled "Chapter Twenty - Tales From the Dark Side" will premiere on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 10 p.m. EST on the CW.
