"Rick and Morty" fans can now enjoy their favorite characters in a comic version, thanks to Oni Press. The publisher announced the upcoming release of "Rick and Morty Presents" comic book series.

The comic book will be produced quarterly and will contain one-shot 40-page issues. Here, fans can know more about the "secret stories and hidden pasts" of the animated series' characters. In fact, each issue is said to focus mostly on the different side of the franchise's roles.

According to reports, "Rick and Morty Presents" will be telling the characters' stories that fans do not often see on the show. This includes "The Vindicators," which will be the first issue, followed by "Krombopulos Michael" by Mallory.

The third one will be "Sleepy Gary" by Mags Visaggio, while the fourth release will be about "Pickle Rick and Jaguar" by Delilah Dawson. These issues will be supervised by the creative team of CJ Cannon, Nick Filardi, and Crank. Also, Supernova, Noob-Noob, and Vance Maximus will also appear in "Rick and Morty Presents."

In the comic book's official synopsis, these characters will be developing a team when the heroes accidentally make a huge mistake by creating a new villain. Oni Press, on the other hand, describes this new series as something that will make fans "gasp in shock and awe" as its plot twists are going to make the so-called "irrelevant characters" bring the dead back to life. They, too, will be "frowning in frustration" as they are about to forget the "complicated backstory" of the mythic items that will suddenly turn important.

The "Rick and Morty" comic book version will be exclusively published by Oni Press. It will bring in talented writers and artists like Kyle Starks, Sarah Graley, Pamela Ribson, Tom Fowler, Zac Gorman, and Marc Ellerby, among others. They are all set to bring the manuscript series or spin-offs, aiming to make it as popular as the animated show itself.

The first issue, "Rick and Morty Presents: The Vindicators," will be out on March 7, 2018. The other succeeding comic book editions will be released accordingly in June, September, and November of the mentioned year.
