As production for "Rick and Morty" season 3 makes headway, the team behind the hit series shares production art and updates on the progress.

Just recently, the team shared a look at Morty's garage. They teased that when "Rick and Morty" returns, this once careful, busy place will be a "little Rickless." This hints that Rick might not be returning anytime soon.

Fans will remember that in the previous season, he turned himself in to the Galactic Federation, which, in turn, puts him in a maximum security prison.

Rick was given virtually no opportunity to bail. Parole and breakout appear to be made impossible as well so fans now worry about the fate of the mad scientist.

Meanwhile, the team also shared art showing a villain that will appear in the "Rick and Morty" season 3 premiere. It is a Gromflamite Prison General that fans should "Look forward to disliking."

From the looks of it, this character might make Rick's life in prison nightmarish than it already is. The idea of Rick not getting out of there should make it more worrying.

However, it is being speculated that Rick will be able to escape prison with the help of his former wife as well as Morty, who will tap into his inner evil to make this feat possible – this giving life to Evil Morty, who is said to play a part in "Rick and Morty" season 3.

It is unclear how, but what fans believe that Rick won't be confined inside the four walls of this maximum security prison without a fight.

As for the premiere date, "Rick and Morty" season 3 does not have a specific one yet, but it is expected to arrive later this year. Some fans are growing anxious about the lack of updates, but writer Mike McMahan urges fans to be patient.

"Just relax— it's our best season and worth the wait. Greatness takes time," he tweeted out.
