Rockstar Games announced last year that the much-awaited game sequel "Red Dead Redemption 2" would be out in Spring 2018. The studio was supposed to release the title in 2017, although certain issues might have forced Rockstar to delay the launch. Still, many fans would like to know a more specific release schedule for the game, but according to a listing on Amazon Mexico, Rockstar might have actually indicated an exact launch date for "Red Dead Redemption 2," which is July 12th.

Comic Book provided a screen shot of the supposed Amazon Mexico listing for "Red Dead Redemption 2," just in case the actual page will be taken down in the future. The publication noted that the details listed in the page appear to be legitimate. For one, the converted price of the game from Mexican Pesos to US Dollars is within the range of the usual AAA game price today.

One might also argue that the July 12 release of "Red Dead Redemption 2" in the listing is only a placeholder. However, placeholder dates are usually set in the last day of the month or season, like December 31st. In the case of the game's Spring 2018 release, a placeholder date would be the last day of spring this year, which is June 21. It appears that the July 12 release shown in Amazon Mexico is quite definite, and the person who have written the listing is confident about the details he provided.

Rockstar Games is expected to show a preview of "Red Dead Redemption 2" at the Electronics Entertainment Expo (E3) this coming June, and it would make sense if the studio is actually planning to release the game a few weeks after the E3 presentation. However, the fans should not get their hopes up until Rockstar makes the confirmation.

In other news, dataminers were able to find suspicious files in the latest "Grand Theft Auto V: Online" update, showing a lineup of weapons, vehicles, and missions that are not related to "GTA" gameplay. Moreover, the contents of these files match the theme of "Red Dead Redemption 2," suggesting that Rockstar is well on its way to launch the game very soon.
