"Real Housewives of Orange County" season 12 is drawing to a close and already, season 13 rumors are starting to surface. There are talks about a big casting sweep, saying that five new women will star in the 13th season. Meanwhile, former main cast Heather Dubrow recently talked about appearing on the show again.
The major casting change was according to an inside source that claims at least three women will not be returning for the 13th season. These are Lydia McLaughlin, Peggy Sulahian, and Meghan King Edmonds. This was reported by All About the Real Housewives, claiming the said source has a friend who works for Bravo TV's casting department.
"Real Housewives of Orange County" has been known for one or two cast changes every season. However, the casting has never undergone a massive overhaul like the one rumored to happen in season 13. In any case, it is expected that the upcoming season will bring some fresh faces to the show.
There were also rumors that Vicki Gunvalson will be demoted from the cast. Her relationships with her co-stars over the past two seasons were shaky at best, and it seems that Gunvalson will have to step down from the main casting.
If Gunvalson is to take the backseat, Dubrow is not entirely opposed to the idea of retaking the spotlight. She admitted in an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight that she still keeps in touch with her friends from the show.
"Never say never," Dubrow said when asked about a possible reappearance.
She added that "Real Housewives of Orange County" is a "terrific platform" for everything that she does with Terry Dubrow, her husband of 18 years.
Dubrow has been on the show for five years. In that time, she said that she had made great friends and amazing experiences.
However, she did not deny that she is currently leading a busy life. She still runs her own YouTube channel and her podcasts titled "Heather Dubrow's World" and "Dr. and Mrs. Guinea Pig." On top of those, she also has a skincare line to take care of.
