Alan Powell will be joining Priyanka Chopra and Jake McLaughlin in "Quantico" season 3. He is announced to be the ABC drama's new series regular.

Powell is going to play the role of Mike McQuigg, a former undercover in a white supremacist militia involved in a bioweapon attack. He is described to be self-confident, skillful, and has the swag. He, too, is adept at hand-to-hand combat.

Mike will join Alex (Chopra) and the rest of the company in "Quantico" season 3. The team is going to need someone with military knowledge and experience, as well as political value that he perfectly fits. In an interview with Deadline, executive producer Michael Seitzman talked about Powell joining the show.

"We're incredibly fortunate to have four leading men on 'Quantico,'" he said. Joining Powell are McLaughlin as Ryan, Blair Underwood as Owen, and Russell Tovey as Harry. He also added that Powell will not just bring "muscularity" to his role but he will also be seen as a clever yet easygoing guy. Also, he could be seen naughty but with a southern charm to his character. "His chemistry with the rest of the cast was instantaneous on screen and off," he continued to say.

Meanwhile, Powell has been known for TV series and movies such as "Nashville," "Heavenquest," "Caged," "Out of Ashes," "Worth Fighting For," "Christmas in the Smokies," "A Deadly Affair," and "The Song." He, too, was a member of the Christian pop band called Anthem Lights.

Powell is not the only major addition in the upcoming "Quantico" season 3. Marlee Matlin, best known as Melody in "Switched at Birth," also joins the ABC series. She will be playing the role of Jocelyn Turner, a deaf and former FBI agent that will work with Alex and Ryan. Johanna Braddy is still part of the show as Shelby Wyatt.

"Quantico" season 3 is set to return in 2018 on ABC.
