New photos from "Pretty Little Liars" season 6b have been released and for a show that promises a bombardment of mysteries, these promo snaps quench the craving of fans for new details and at the same time make them even thirstier.

The images sees the liars along with Mona in a courtroom almost certainly for the Charlotte hearing, which they came back to Rosewood for in the first place. They don't look very pleased with having to confront once more such situation that left them scarred for years.

The rest of the "Pretty Little Liars" season 6b photos show the girls chilling and hanging out in Radley's, which, oddly enough, has been transformed into a boutique hotel. There, the liars catch up over cocktail drinks after being apart from five years.

Although the girls are all grown up now and things are very different – Alison is married and is a teacher, Hanna now a fashion assistant is engaged, Aria is in a relationship with an officemate, Emily might get back with Paige while Spencer chose to stuck by her mom – one thing remains the same and that is the fact that danger still lurks, waiting to jump on the girls when they least expect it.

In the latter half of "Pretty Little Liars" season 6, Aria and the group will face a new baddie far more heinous and nightmarish than A. The new villain in town has no problem slaying people and scaring the living daylight out of the girls, who are yet to fully recover from their trauma.

Apart from a dangerous foe to face, the girls will also confront secrets waiting to be discovered. In the recent special episode that offered a glimpse of the five-year time jump, it was revealed that Emily is keeping a pretty big one.

"I think Emily comes back with the biggest secret. I think that you three create secrets in our first episode... but Emily comes back with a big secret, which we won't spoil," showrunner Marlene King teased, as quoted by IB Times.

"Pretty Little Liars" season 6 returns Jan. 12.
