'Pokemon Sun and Moon' news: Legendary pocket monsters available for free this 2018

Aside from "Pokemon GO," role-playing video game "Pokemon Sun and Moon" are also getting exciting updates. In fact, this will be a big news for players of the game this year.

According to reports, fans will be treated to a regular stream of free items and pocket monsters for the game. The game's latest installments, "Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon," will also feature some exciting updates and freebies in the next few months. The year 2018 is considered by the Pokemon Company as the "Year of Legendary Pokemon." Because of this, there will be Legendary-themed Pokemon products and giveaways from the company this year. No doubt, this will excite Pokemon fans.

Throughout the year, there will be free Legendary Pokemon giveaways for the game's seventh-generation titles. This will start in February when players can receive a new Legendary each month in Pokemon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, or Ultra Moon. But this also depends on what type of version a gamer is playing.

For those who are excited for the arrival of these free Pokemon, their names were already revealed along with the corresponding month that they will be out. Dialga or Palkia (Diamond/Pearl) will be free in February, while Regigigas or Heatran (Diamond/Pearl) will be offered in March. Entei or Raikou (Gold/Silver), Xernas or Yveltal (X/Y), and Shiny Zygarde (X/Y) will be free in April, May, and June, respectively.

Meanwhile, July will offer Tornadus or Thundurus (Black/White) for free, while gamers can get Kyogre or Groudon (Ruby/Sapphire) in August. For September, it will feature Latio or Latias (Ruby/Sapphire), while Reshiram or Zekrom (Black/White) is the Pokemon of October. Lastly, fans need to wait for November to get a free Ho-Oh or Lugia (Gold/Silver).

GameStop will release the first pair of Legendaries, Dialga and Palkia on Feb. 2-28, which will be available in the U.S. Players in the U.K. will be able to receive them from participating Game stores. In "Ultra Sun and Moon," Dialga and Palkia will be on level 100, while in "Sun and Moon," they will be on level 60.
