'Pokemon GO' latest news update: Guide to Spawn rates and timings for better chances of scoring a rare Pokemon

One of the biggest goals of "Pokemon GO" trainers is to catch a rare Pokemon, which, as gamers know by now, is an extremely difficult thing to do, but familiarizing the spawn rates of the creatures might help.

In a detailed chart from Pokemon Go Champ, it was revealed that Pidgey is the most likely Pokemon that players will encounter with a spawn rate of 15.98 percent.

"Pokemon GO" players can give up the dream of randomly spotting a Dragonite as its spawn rate is only a measly 0.0011 percent, almost making it impossible to come across.

Gyarados, another highly sought after Pokemon, only has a 0.0032 percent spawn rate while Charizard's 0.0031 percent spawn rate would explain why it is hard to come by.

The chart, however, also detailed the time that these Pokemon are most likely to spawn and this knowledge should help "Pokemon GO" players know when to strike. With this trick, trainers might be able to boost its lineup in no time.

On the technical side of things, "Pokemon GO" is known to drain battery life, which is the only killjoy for players who want to play as long as they could.

Now, there's a way for players to prevent the game from sapping all the battery life of their phones. However, it is only available to Android users.

The application is called Proximity Service developed by SSDeveloper. It helps the smartphone conserve battery by turning off the display when the front light sensor is covered (say when it is inside the player's pocket).

That way, it will allow "Pokemon GO" to still run while saving battery life by turning off the smartphone's display. Players can check out more details about the app on Reddit. Proximity Sensor can be downloaded here.

There's no word if the app will be released to the iPhone. For now, however, players with the iOS devices can opt for smartphone battery cases and battery-saving accessories.
