'Pokemon GO' latest news update: Generation 2 Pokemons only coming to selected countries

Niantic continues to build up the hype of the worldwide phenomenon augmented-reality mobile game Pokemon Go as they will release Generation 2 Pokemons on the next updates. Moreover, some of these Generation 2 type of Pokemons will be available only on selected countries and die- hard players who may want that particular Pokemons or who may want to 'catch them all' must travel around the globe to obtain them.

As of now, Pokemons that are available to be caught are a total of 151 excluding the legendary ones. The updated version will bring the evolution of some of the existing pokemons. Apart from that, the idea from the game where rare-type Pokemons are only exclusive for a certain region will also be implemented.

According to an article by the Bitbag, psychic Pokemon Mr. Mime can only be seen in Europe and normal type Pokemon Tauros can only be found in North America. It can certainly be perceived as applying the Pokémon's features to a country that has the same specific personality and culture.

Niantic may add Gen 2 Pokemons from Gold, Silver, and Crystal in the updated version. Fans of the franchise speculated Pokemons that will exclusively be on region-locked category of Niantic where Miltank will be in USA, Heracross in Asia, Smeargle in South America, and Deliberd in Europe. These were just mere guesses though fans did equate the possibility of these Pokemons landing in the countries that best describe them.

Future patches for the game will also sport Pokemon trading and Pokemon Trainer Battles. There are no official release dates for these patches but it is speculated that Pokemon GO trading patch will be available on October, the Pokemon GO Trainer Battles will commence on December 2016 or early January 2017 and the much-anticipated new Pokemon GO Generation 2 will be released on May 2017.
