'Pokemon GO' Gen 3 starters launched, one legendary Pokemon nerfed

Augmented reality game "Pokemon GO" recently released some Gen 3 pocket monsters. Apart from that, the game recently nerfed another legendary Pokemon.

Currently, the power of Groudon was decreased to 9 percent in all of its stats. This brings him in line with some top-tier Pokemon. Groudon, the mascot Legendary character for Pokemon Ruby, is actually one of the strongest Pokemon. This Ground-Type character has a powerful Primal look that prevents it from getting damaged from Water-Type attacks. Its form can also boost its attack strength.

Originally, Groudon's attack stat is at 297. However, it was decreased to 270. Its defense also dropped from 276 to 200, while its stamina went from 251 to 182. ComicBook notes that the recent nerf of Groudon is not a sign that he will be added to the game in the future. However, this may signify that Groudon will be the next Legendary Pokemon.

Meanwhile, trainers are excited about the new Gen 3 Pokemon. As of now, there are already 55 Gen 3 Pokemon in the game. This means there are about 100 pocket monsters left that will be added to the game on a later date.

The "Pokemon Go" Gen 3 starters include Grass-Type Treecko, Fire-Type Torchic, and Water-Type Mudkip. These Pokemon are the equivalent of Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. They can evolve into their powerful final forms, Sceptile, Blaziken, and Swampert.

When Blaziken, the final form of Torchic, was added to the game a few days ago, trainers discovered that it does not have any Fighting-Type abilities. Without this, Blaziken's effectiveness is lowered. However, Niantic resolved the issue by giving Blaziken one of the most powerful moves in the game, the Focus Blast. This gives Blazinken the ability to pump out the most damage to its opponents.

Other must-have Gen 3 Pokemon are Ralts/Kirlia/Gardevoir, Slakoth/Vigoroth/Slaking, Makuhita/Hariyama, and Mawile/Absol. Meanwhile, Zangoose/Plusle and Seviper/Minun are regional exclusives when Gen 3 arrived. Zangoose and Plusle are available in North, South, and Central America, while the rest of the world can catch Seviper and Minun.
