A few months ago, the development team behind the popular augmented reality game "Pokemon Go" introduced its new feature "Exclusive Raids."

However, the feature was considered in a "field test" phase, in order for the developers to accumulate proper feedback about the said feature and to integrate the necessary changes they needed to apply before fully installing the feature in the game. Recently, however, Niantic has decided to leave the initial phase, and revealed that "Exclusive Raids" has now officially launched.

Niantic announced the news in a blog post on "Pokemon Go's" official site. Aside from officially launching "Exclusive Raids," the developers also announced a few changes it came with, along with some minor changes when it comes to criteria and rewards.

"Trainers, we greatly appreciate all the feedback you've shared with us about the Raid Battle feature over the past few months," read the official announcement.

"We've been carefully reviewing your feedback and will be making a few changes to the feature in response. These improvements will not require you to update your app, but they will impact your gameplay."

Among the noticeable changes made is that EX Raid Battles will most likely be held in gyms located at sponsored locations and public places such as parks. The reason for this is to make sure the locations are easily accessible to trainers. Over time, EX Raid Battles will expand in more locations.

Also, getting an invitation to EX Raid Battles will most likely depend on the trainer's gym badge level. Those with high-level gym badges will be the only ones invited, as well as trainers who have completed many EX Raid Battles.

In terms of rewards, Trainers will now receive Golden Razz Berries for completing Raid Battles. Also, Stardust and Premium Raid passes will be awarded to Trainers whether they win or lose an EX Raid Battle. Magikarp is also set to return as a Raid Boss.
