The appearance of Drizella (Adelaide Kane) in the previous episode of "Once Upon a Time" season 7 revealed a big twist to the show's storyline. Even though a lot of people now believe that she is the ABC television series' main villain, fans are still puzzled about who really cast the curse.

Drizella asked for Regina's (Lana Parrilla) help to find the magic she had in a series of flashbacks. This revealed that she was awake all the while after the curse had been cast. Also, she was actually working with the wicked Witch (Emma Booth) inside Victoria's (Gabrielle Anwar) tower in Hyperion Heights.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kane talked about the possibility that her character Drizella is "Once Upon a Time" season 7's villain.

"It would certainly suggest that she might be a strong contender," she explained.

The 27-year-old star continued to say that it would be more satisfying if her alter ego, Ivy, was the one who cast the curse. This might be because her role feels "downtrodden and angry, and unhappy." So, out of her frustrations, she did it.

Kane also added that Drizella should not bare all the blame for the curse. Moreover, it could even be cast by other characters, like Alice (Rose Reynolds) or Cinderella (Dania Ramirez).

"It could be anyone for this one," she said.

Meanwhile, Drizella's appearance with Regina made her even harder to determine. There is even something about her that can be compared to the young and angry Regina.

Just like the Evil Queen, she also has an evil and controlling mother, Lady Tremaine (Anwar). She has been insisting to wed Drizella to an aristocrat whether she liked it or not. So, it is a now a big question if Drizella is going to be "Once Upon a Time's" season 7 villain, just like the old Regina.

"Once Upon a Time" season 7 airs every Friday at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
