Nintendo Switch news: Flash sale arrives for Switch games in eShop

Nintendo has recently announced that it has over 15 games for sale in the Nintendo eShop, Nintendo's digital selling platform.

The sale will surely be a delight to Nintendo Switch owners, as it will be the first large sale for the console's games. More sales are to be expected due to the massive success of the hybrid console, as Nintendo has sold 10 million units already in only nine months.

One of the leading titles with a big price slash in the Nintendo eShop is Bethesda's first-person shooter, "Doom." The game is one of the most underrated games of Bethesda, but it had a bigger playerbase after it was ported to the Switch. The demonic mature game had an original price of $59.99, but it is now currently $41.99.

Other titles along with "Doom" are "Arms", "Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle Gold Edition" and "Ultra Street Fighter 2: The Final Challenge." These four games all have great bargains that have reduced their prices by $12 and above, with the gold edition of the "Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle" having a significant cut from $79.99 to $55.99.

Meanwhile, smaller titles are also up for grabs in the eShop. "The Lost Sphear," "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2," "Celeste," and "Just Dance" are among the many on sale. A set of sports titles are also on sale. Sports fans who want to get a bargain for their Switch can download "World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) 2K18," "FIFA 18," and "NBA 2K18" at discounts around 30 percent or more. Even "NBA 2K18's" limited edition title has a watered down price.

Fans can expect more Nintendo sales to come soon, since there will be a flurry of games to come to the Switch this 2018, allowing for more competition among game developers.

Still, fans should act fast, as there are some flash sales for the Switch that are only for a limited time. "Doom" and "Arms" are one examples, since both these games will lose their discounts come Feb. 2.
