Two new sneak peeks of "New Girl" season 5 were recently released, giving fans a look at Schmidt and Cece's wedding. In the first promo for the upcoming season, the two encounter the first and potentially the biggest problem they could think of regarding their nuptials.

Cece's mom is not very much into the idea that her daughter is marrying "the slim hip ghost of Tom Cruise," as what the husband to-be was described in the promo. "I find Schmidt truly appalling as a potential candidate for my daughter," Cece's mom said.

She had no idea that Cece is already planning her wedding. What makes its worse is that the guy she is exchanging "I do" with is someone she deemed is nowhere near the husband material she pictured her daughter will be with. That being said, "New Girl" season 5 will start with a big wedding fiasco.

Cece's mom shows her downright disapproval upon meeting Schmidt, who tried his best to look and act appropriately (or at least not to come off as weird) in front of the mother of the person he is marrying. "I disapprove," Cece's mom cold-bloodedly told Schmidt right there and then.

In the second "New Girl" season 5 promo, however, Schmidt will prove that he is the really one for Cece. In the clip, Schmidt showed off his dancing chops by performing an intricate Bollywood dance with the help of Nick.

During the showing, Cece's mom was confused and did not look all that swayed (it felt as if she was looking at a debacle) but Cece looked like she fell in love with her man all over again and kissed Schmidt right after he did his finishing pose.

The initial episodes of "New Girl" season will see Schmidt and Cece putting together their wedding. Jess is the latter's maid of honor but she won't be around for long due to her essayer Zooey Deschanel's maternity leave.

"New Girl" season 5 premieres Jan. 5 at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
