NBA trade rumors 2017: Cleveland Cavaliers eyeing for Greg Monroe, Paul George might possibly join Los Angeles Lakers

The NBA 2017-2018 season is surrounded by a lot of trade rumors that involve Greg Monroe and Paul George. It looks like the two are going to be dealt with other teams in the future, thus fans have to carefully watch out.

Monroe just recently moved from Milwaukee Bucks to the Phoenix Suns. His playing time in Milwaukee had incredibly dropped and he also did not seem to play great in Phoenix as it is currently rebuilding.

Hence, as part of the NBA trade rumors, he could possibly join the Cleveland Cavaliers. According to Cleveland, the team does not see Jahlil Okafor of the Philadelphia 76ers to be an ideal trade and is eyeing to have Monroe instead.

As Tristan Thompson is still injured, the Cavaliers now lack frontcourt depth behind Kevin Love and Jae Crowder. And even though the team still has Jeff Green and Channing Frye, neither of the two can play the center effectively, so Monroe is really needed.

Also, the rumors are strong that George could be part of the NBA trade. In fact, he could possibly join the Los Angeles Lakers coming summer. Although his first week as a player of the Oklahoma City Thunder seems good, it looks like his team up with Carmelo Anthony and Russell Westbrook would not be a great threat against the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference.

The OKC just scored 7-8 this season, while the Lakers is at 7-10. George also does not seem to attain that much with his 23.4 average points per game in the past two NBA seasons. Currently, he is averaging just 21.6 per game with the Oklahoma City-based team.

It has been known that OKC's main goal is to challenge the Warriors, but it seems like they still have to fight their way out to the second round playoff. In fact, Houston Rockets, Minnesota Timberwolves, San Antonio Spurs, and Denver Nuggets have the most bets of being included in the Western Conference. So, if George realizes it would be hard to play with OKC's dominant players, he might be included in the NBA trade.
