Death won't stop Obito from helping his friends to fight evil in the next episode of "Naruto Shippuden." Episode 473 titled "The Sharingan Revived" will see him make his ultimate effort in putting a stop to Princess Kaguya's deadly reign.

Before he resigns to his fate, Obito (a young version of him that is) convinces Jin, who welcomes him to afterlife, that they take a "detour" that will allow him to lend a hand to Kakashi for the last time.

He does so in "Naruto Shippuden" episode 473 by transferring to Kakashi his Sharingan, which he, in turn, uses with his own Sharingan on Princess Kaguya. Sakura, Sasuke and Naruto are also doing their best to take down the enemy.

Despite Obito's death, the character will still be very much a part of the upcoming episode as the anime chronicles his reunion with Jin and his travel to the land of the departed as seen in the promo.

According to reports, Obito's death marks the imminent conclusion of "Naruto Shippuden." This also marks the looming end of Kaguya's supremacy.

[Spoiler Alert! Details about the upcoming "Naruto Shippuden" episodes ahead]

As far as the manga is concerned, Naruto and Sasuke successfully beat Kaguya with the help of Sakura and Kakashi, with Obito's sacrifice paying off.

Obito then rejoins Jin in the spirit world. His death is one of the moments that happen near the end of the manga so it is safe to say "Naruto Shippuden" is close to its ending too.

In addition, Enstarz pointed out how the promo for "Naruto Shippuden" episode 473 hinted that Kaguya's defeat will take place in this particular episode.

The site noted the scene with Sakura punching their ruthless opponent was a key moment in the manga that ultimately ushered the end of the long-fought battle.

That being said, "Naruto Shippuden" episode 473 will not only see Obito's send-off, but also the end of Kaguya. With such an important installment, fans are worried, at least based on the promo, that the animation won't do it justice.

But it looks like viewers will have to see for themselves when "Naruto Shippuden" episode 473 "The Sharingan Revived" airs Thursday, Aug. 25.
