"Monster Hunter: World" is coming out to PS4 and Xbox One later this month, but for PC users, they may have to wait for a few short months before they could get a PC version of the highly anticipated action role-playing video game.

Capcom released a short video on Twitter updating fans as to when they should expect the PC release of the game. "As for the PC version, we're working hard on it right now and aiming for an autumn 2018 release," said producer Ryozo Tsujimoto. "We'll update you with more details later and thank you for your patience.

Tsujimoto also said that the PC version is still currently being optimized, although he declined to mention more details about the subject, especially the difference of it from the console versions. If ever, a range of visual options is highly probable, but it has not been verified yet by Capcom.

This led to some theories speculated by some fans. As this year's autumnal equinox is on Sept. 22, "Monster Hunter: World" could be released by then. It means that PC players may have to wait eight months after the game's console release.

Tsujimoto continued the video update by saying that players should expect a lot of free content after the official launch of the game. This includes new kinds of monsters, downloadable new outfits, items, weapons, and probably new quests as well as Capcom previously said in an interview that some of the free post-release content includes new quests.

"We will continue to release free quests as we always have," Tsujimoto told Polygon at Gamescom last August.

It's also apparent that there would be no Xbox One beta to be released, given that the official release of the console version of the game is just a few weeks away. PS4 got the chance to test the game on two PS4 beta tests last 2017.

"Monster Hunter: World" is slated for a worldwide release on Jan. 26, 2018.
