Microsoft update on Redstone 2 might come with the release of the new Surface devices. According to Christian Daily, Microsoft is supposedly holding off with the product's launch until Redstone or RS2 is installed so that consumers can have a better experience. With the yearly updates of tech giants of their products, customers anticipate better specs and services.

Surface Book 2 aims to fix problems of its predecessor by offering better specs and prolong its battery life. Since the Surface Book launched in October 2015, users who availed the product had voiced their various complaints, ranging from flickering screen to freezing up. There was also a problem with the fulcrum hinge creating a gap when the laptop is closed. Microsoft apologized to the customers. They acknowledge the product's hiccups and recognized the customers have had less- than- perfect experience. Consumers repeatedly complained the fast battery drain, rendering it ineffectual for a heavy usage.

Among the specs of the new Surface book are its 13.5 – inch display with 4K resolution and higher graphic support. Surface Book 2 could also support a higher and longer battery life than its predecessor. The current Skylake processor of Surface Book is said to be the cause of its swiftly decreasing battery life. Surface Book 2 is rumored to be geared by the Intel's 7th generation of i5 and i7, also known as the Kaby Lake processor. It will also address the gap formed by the current's device Dynamic Fulcrum Hinge, as dubbed by Microsoft when the laptop is closed.

Microsoft is eyeing the second half of 2016 to release its Surface Pro 5 and Surface Book 2. With this move, the release could go side-by-side with Apple' MacBook Pro 2016 as it was speculated to have their product's release by the same time frame. Both giants sport big products that awaits tech- loving consumers.
