Meghan Markle net worth news: Actress to gain much in marriage to Prince Harry

Meghan Markle is about to become a member of the Royal Family, as her marriage to Prince Harry draws near. Along with the title, her net worth will also apparently skyrocket once the knot has been tied.

That said, it is not like the 36-year-old actress and humanitarian campaigner needs a boost in wealth since she is already considered prosperous by anyone's standard. After announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, however, speculations have floated that she will benefit largely from her betrothed, who is rumored to have a $40-million net worth.

It also seems that no expense will be spared come the couple's wedding ceremony. This is because Harry's expenses are all paid from income generated by the Duchy of Cornwall, his father Prince Charles's private estate, so the marriage may be no exception. Apart from this, Harry also uses his father's Duchy's profits for the public and private lives of his family.

Meanwhile, Markle with a net worth of $5 million, is already doing well in the financial department, earning as much as $50,000 per episode of the hit television show "Suits." However, with her wedding to Harry, Meghan will be giving up her role as Rachel Zane in the series.

Before the engagement announcement, this speculation was then reinforced by the website Deadline's report that Meghan will be leaving "Suits" after the seventh season of the show. This exit also coincided with Meghan's planned move to the United Kingdom, presumably to prepare for the wedding or familiarize herself with the Royal Family.

Rest assured, Meghan's expenses would also likely be paid by the Duchy of Cornwall, which could mean that she might never need another job again. However, should things go sour in the future of their wedding, Harry might have to compensate Meghan with quite a large sum, much like his father had to do when separating with the late Princess Diana.

The upcoming wedding between Markle and Prince Harry is set to take place on May 2018 at St. Gregory's Chapel in the U.K.
