'Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite' news: Leaked information includes latest game mode, characters from X-Men and Fantastic Four

Longtime players of the "Marvel vs. Capcom" games know that in the latest version of the game, certain characters were not present in the roster. However, it seems that these missing characters will coming back in the game after all, based from some leaked information.

Apparently, some leaked information regarding "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" revealed that 20 characters are said to be in development, a number of which are fighters from the X-Men and the Fantastic Four. This leak also included some rumors concerning the upcoming announcements about the game, all of which were backed up by the source that said that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be introduced in "Injustice 2" as part of its Fighter Pack 3 DLC.

When it comes to the second season, the leak named Star-Lord, Asura, Ms. Marvel, Lady, and Gill along with the addition of one unconfirmed character. This unconfirmed character in particular could be any of the characters that are supposedly in development.

The characters that are supposedly in development include Star Lord, Ms. Marvel, Wolverine, Green Goblin, Cyclops, Magneto, Deadpool, Psylocke, Doctor Doom, Lady, Gill, Asura, Rashid, Captain Commando, Storm, Gene, Regina, Vergil, Apollo Justice, and Akuma. A lot of these characters happen to be from the X-Men and the Fantastic Four, and the leak continued to expand on the game's plans for Doctor Doom.

The source said that although there are some controversies between Marvel and the Fantastic Four in the recent games, there has been no information on whether or not Doctor Doom will be removed completely. They went on to say that even though the character is not in place for next year, it is uncertain whether the exclusion will be long-term. Then again, the source also said that fans should not get their hopes up.

Apart from the characters, the supposed features that will be brought into the game include a 2v2 game mode. Moving back to the new fighters that will be included, another source mentioned that Wolverine, Deadpool, Daredevil, Gene, Akuma, and Vergil will be part of the free update that will be coming in 2018.

As previously mentioned, fans should only take this with a grain of salt for now, and be on the lookout for any confirmation.
