DayZ creator Dean Hall has found a new video game company called RocketWerkz. One of its first projects is an upcoming game called "Living Dark." It is described as an open-world, "neo-noir" sandbox, and promises deep and rich gameplay in a procedural world.

"Living Dark," like most open-world games, promises truly responsive interactions. The game is set in a city called Vox and the game's website says that in this city, "everything is connected."

One of the most exciting aspects of the game is its use of procedural methods to generate narratives. There presumably is no fixed plot for the game. Everything that happens will be based on the player's choices, and with the player's actions, the city can change for better or worse.

Another great feature is that the city and the changes can persist. Players can create multiple characters that start in the same city, thus offering entirely different points of view of the familiar locations.

There are multiple approaches to everything. Characters can choose to be stealthy, resorting to skills like lockpicking, hacking, or forgery to overcome challenges. There are also some hand-to-hand combat styles and ranged weapons available.

Finally, the latest teaser trailer shows that there will be science-fiction and paranormal elements in the game, as well. The three-minute trailer, titled Algo Azul, featured a man waiting in a bar. Agitated because the service was taking too long, we see the man unleash a strange telekinetic power.

The trailer perhaps shows one of the many abilities that characters can master in the game.

"Living Dark" is directed by former Bethesda Games artist Rashad Redic. The rest of the game's development team is said to be made of about 15 people.

The developers have not announced what platform the game will run on. Likewise, no release date has been announced for the game yet. However, RokcketWerkz promises to release new teaser trailers like "Algo Azul" at least once every week.
