LG V10 2 rumors: successor to sport in-house Nuclun 2 processor?

LG V10 LG

LG is apparently working on a sequel to the LG V10, which was just released back in October. A new report suggests that the company is planning to utilize an in-house processor dubbed as the Nuclun 2 for the upcoming smartphone.

As GSM Arena points out, LG has been trying its hand on manufacturing its own chipsets for months. It has released its first ever creation called the Nuclun. But for the upcoming Nuclun 2, the device that will get to try it out first is the second iteration of the dual-screened handset.

The processors will allegedly be seen in action first in the successor of the LG V10. The South Korea-based company, however, will not be using the same chipset on its highly anticipated flagship, the LG G5 because it is deemed not fast enough for the smartphone.

According to WCCFTech, the Nuclun 2 can be pitted against the most acclaimed processors around. In a leaked benchmark listing, the chipset effortlessly trounced the Exynos 7420 processor, which Samsung used on the Galaxy S6 and is one of the most redoubtable SoC available.

The Nuclun 2 can also outshine the Kirin 950 from Huawei, which is another powerful processor that is adored by many users and tech portals. That being said, it looks like the second LG V10 will be a stellar and exciting device to consider and look forward to.

Much about the specs sheet of the new LG V10 is a mystery at this time. LG itself is yet to make the handset official but it is bound to happen, seeing the current LG V10 is quite the package with a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage and a 16-MP/5-MP duo camera combo.

Nevertheless, media outlets are already pointing to a possible Q3 to Q4 2016 release date. Before it sees the light of day, however, the LG G5 is expected to be made available first by April.
