Romance has never been in Heatwave (Dominic Purcell) and Captain Cold's (Wentworth Miller) wheelhouse, but the game of love will play a role on things that will happen to them in "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2.

Executive producer Marc Guggenheim has revealed to Collider that a new side of Heatwave aka Mick Rory will be revealed in the new season of the ensemble series.

From the start, Mick has always been in it for the benefit of jumping from one timeline to another. By the end of the first season, he eventually warmed up to the Waverider crew, but this is just the beginning.

"This year, we want him to fall in love with someone and be like, 'What are feelings?!'" Guggenheim said of what to expect about Heatwave in "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2.

"He's so much fun. He's fun to write, and Dominic is obviously really enjoying playing him. I think Rory ends up stealing a lot of the scenes that he's in," he went on to say.

There's no word on how Mick will find love in "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2, but it is definitely an exciting concept as it will allow fans to see how he is like when not going berserk.

While Heatwave will do better in the love department, it will be the polar opposite for his partner Captain Cold aka Leonard Snart, who frankly might not even care.

In the previous season, viewers watched him open himself to Sara (Caity Lotz). They even shared a kiss just before he sacrificed his life for the success of the mission.

However, things will be very different come "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 as Captain Cold will find himself in the opposing side of his former team as a member of the Legend of Doom.

"We're glad we had a chance to get them to kiss before Leonard died. This Legion of Doom thing will be an interesting spin. It will make a very challenged relationship even more challenged," Guggenheim teased.

It will be exciting to see how Sara deals with this, but rest assured it will further complicate things not only between her and Snart, but also for the whole team.

"Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 premieres Thursday, Oct. 13 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
