Nintendo's action-adventure game "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" showed off its new downloadable content (DLC) during the 2017 Game Awards. It featured new story elements and a sweet ride for protagonist Link.

The new DLC is titled "The Champions' Ballad." It sets its focus on the four Champions of Hyrule— Revali, Mipha, Daruk, and Urbosa. These four champions are the ones who were defeated in a grand battle in Hyrule exactly a century before the game's main story starts.

But perhaps of more interest to the players is Link's new ride. After completing all the challenges in the DLC, gamers will be rewarded with a motorcycle. Called the Master Cycle Zero, the ride has a somewhat steampunk design. The motorcycle blends the mystical and technological aesthetic very well.

The motorcycle-riding Link was reminiscent of concept art released by Nintendo of America earlier this year. The sketches show Link riding a motorcycle with an electric guitar on his back.

Players who want to play "The Champions Ballad" and ride around Hyrule in a Master Cycle Zero need not wait long. After its unveiling at The Game Awards, the DLC was made available for those who own "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" expansion passes.

"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" was initially released in March 2017. It is the tenth Legend of Zelda game produced by Nintendo for consoles and is one of the first games released for the Nintendo Switch.

The game was very different from previous Legend of Zelda games because it featured a truly open-world experience. It received critical acclaim and even won several Game of the Year awards. The game was praised for its open-ended nature and for its physics-driven gameplay.

"The Champions' Ballad" is the second major DLC that the game received. The first was called "The Master Trials," released in June 2017.
