The recent rumor mill suggests that Jordan Clarkson of Los Angeles Lakers could possibly be traded for Jahlil Okafor of Philadelphia 76ers for the upcoming 2016-2017 NBA season.

According to an article by SportsRageous the Philadelphia 76ers are looking for a 'more balanced roster' this season. Bryan Colangelo, general managar of Philadelphia 76ers, said "By staying the course, we still have some things to do to this roster to make it more balanced. I've talked about roster balance being a key objective."

With this in mind, he purposively introduced Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel on the market hoping for a topmost benefit the team can get for a possible deal. With this, Clarkson could be a good addition for the shooting line-up of the team.

Following a rough turn of events, from the speeding fine to the club brawl, Okafor might need to prove himself for his team that he can do better on and off the court, according to an article by philly. Along with that is their not-so-good chemistry of Noel in court and these reasons led to Colangelo hinting for other teams that they could be open for trading.

TMZ caught up with Okafor, who answered TMZ's questions stating that he is excited to play for the next season. He did not respond when TMZ asked if he would be in a better shape for this season after the incidents he got himself in.

The possible deal could benefit both the players and the team. It could be a new start for Okafor and Lakers could upgrade their future line-up.

However, Jordan Clarkson recently re-signed last month a $50 million contract for four years and he cannot be traded until December, according to an article by ParentHerald.

"It felt really good just to get it done early so I could get back to my offseason workouts and start preparing with my team for the upcoming season. That was probably the best part about it. At the same time, staying in LA and bringing this franchise back to what it was is important to me," he said.
