"Knightfall" is shaping up to have an ultimate conclusion and climax, as the show nears its finale, and a lot of characters are resorting to desperate measures.

"Fiat!," which is Episode 9 of the first season of "Knightfall," is set to be a grand revelation. Landry, the leader of the Templar Knights, will apparently be seeking and needing more help in order to keep the Holy Grail safe. With this in mind, Landry will have to ask for the help of the one and only Jacques de Molay, the Temple Grand Master, since the charges he is facing could lead to his downfall as well as the Grail being compromised.

The Grail might be the last remaining hope for Landry to restore the Templar Knights to its former glory after the crusader factions' discouraging failure at the Holy Land. Those who have been keeping track of the past episodes will recall that the Grail has been revealed to be in France during the time period, which complicated a lot of things for Landry and his Templar Knights.

Another highlight of the upcoming episode is the highest point of Queen Joan's storyline, as episode 9 will witness her escape from the throne. In the previous episodes, it can be recalled that Joan made a bold move killing her cousin and has shown that she will stop at nothing to get what she wants even if it costs a lot. As such, Joan will have to escape since she knows she is in deep trouble and is not out of the woods yet.

Adding to Joan's impending danger is that she is betraying the King and is having an affair with Landry, who is her husband's friend. The two have even conceived a child without the King's knowledge. This puts Joan in a rough spot, alon with Landry.

Landry and Joan's fates will be found out once Episode 9, "Fiat!" for "Knightfall" airs on Wednesday, Jan. 31, at 10 p.m. EST on History.
