Justin Bieber turns to Hillsong pastor Carl Lentz to get over split from Selena Gomez

Justin Bieber appears to be recovering from his recent split from Selena Gomez by going on a 'religious retreat' with a Hillsong pastor. Various bloggers and celebrity news site are reporting that the star is currently staying with friend and minister Carl Lentz and his family in New Jersey, amid suggestions that Bieber is re-embracing his Christian faith.

Bieber's on-off relationship with singer Gomez - also a Christian - appears to have been permanently concluded, after she deleted him from social media accounts earlier this month. Widely said to be heartbroken, Bieber has reportedly thrown himself into his faith, having been spotted at the New York branch of Hillsong - at which Lentz is a pastor - and subsequently at the church's Tuesday night Bible study.

The singer appears to be enjoying an extended stay at the Lentz family home, and has been pictured and filmed playing with the family's children at a nearby recreation ground. In June, celebrity site TMZ reported that Lentz had 're-baptised' Bieber after a period of intensive Bible study.

Bieber has previously been spotted at both the New York and Los Angeles Hillsong churches. In mid-October, he was reportedly spotted 'crying' and emotional after a Hillsong United worship concert in Inglewood, California.
