Joy Williams' New Single "Hide" Seals No. 1

The new single by Joy Williams - Hide - is breaking all the records, as it has landed on top of both Billboard’s of Hot Christian Adult Contemporary and Hot Christian Singles and Tracks charts and R&R’s AC Indicator and CHR charts. "Hide" is the single from the new album Genesis released recently by Reunion Records.

The album was produced by Matt Bronleewe who also produced Natalie Imbruglia and Jars of Clay, and it is the first album where Joy has co-written every song. Its progressive pop rock sound combines programmed elements with acoustic guitar, piano and even stringed instruments recorded in Prague.

"Working with Matt was incredible," says Joy. "I've never had more fun working on an album. We spent more time laughing than recording, I think! He really encouraged me to find myself and to find the music within me. It was very much a team effort. His confidence in what I was doing spurred me on to work harder and dig deeper into this project than on any other before."

The single began its impressive run at the radio with a unique first week, claiming 47 out-of-the-box adds on the Christian AC format, setting all-time records on both R&R Indicator and CRW AC charts. This was an outstanding 60 percent more adds than any previous record holder.

Already hitting the 10,000 spin mark, Williams' audience-approved the song is the month's winner of the Nielsen BDS Certified Christian Spin Award for outstanding Christian radio airplay achievement as well.

While winning the battle in radio, Joy has been on the road connecting with her audience during the Genesis promotion tour in 20 cities.
