MTV recently announced the return of the original "Jersey Shore" cast members for a new series called "Jersey Shore Family Vacation." The news was revealed in the premiere episode of the network's new show, "Floribama Shore," last Tuesday, Nov. 28.

The spin-off series will be graced by Deena Nicole Cortese, Paul "Pauly D" Delvecchio," Jenni "JWOWW" Farley, and Vinny Guadagnino. Also, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino will be seen. Unfortunately, Sammi Giancola would not be part of the show for some unknown reasons.

"Jersey Shore Family Vacation" is believed to be a show about the original "Jersey Shore" stars on a vacation with their families. This, for sure, will bring fans a trip down memory lane as their favorite reality stars will be once again reunited.

The series started to air on MTV in 2009 and ended in 2012. However, it gave birth to a number of spin-off series, which was a big proof of its success. In fact, in 2011, the show got an average of a whopping 9 million viewers in just one episode.

This is not the first time that the "Jersey Shore" stars will be reunited as they recently had a get-together in an episode of "Reunion Road Trip" on E! cable channel last August. Here, the cast relived the past and visited familiar places, shared their stories, and updated each other's lives.

Meanwhile, "Floribama Shore" is an eight-episode reality series that will tell the story of eight young adults who get to spend their summer on the Gulf Coast, Panama City Beach. Just like the original show, there will be nonstop partying and drinking in the hottest beach in town.

"Jersey Shore Family Vacation" is set to be released in 2018, while "Floribama Shore" airs every Monday at 10 p.m. both on MTV.
